Introduction

There are numerous ways of data collection that is enumeration method and sampling method. Complete enumeration and sample survey is basically used to estimate the unknown parameters of the population. Exact result is not obtained by none of these methods. In sample survey we select a section of population and data is observed in order to draw inferences. In complete Enumeration Survey the information is obtained from every unit of entire population.

Advantages of Sample survey over complete enumeration

In Sampling Survey a small section of total population is chosen and it requires less time , manpower and comparatively cheap. Complete Enumerations on other side counts upon entire target population that makes it costly and takes more time.

Sampling Survey adopts a technique in which they prepare a quite tough questionnaire for the selected population that can successfully obtain information about the entire population by the sufficiently trained investigators.Complete enumeration can never produce that efficient data that particular limited period of time.

Sampling techniques procedure consists of errors to some small extent while complete enumeration process the errors of non sampling methods affects the outcome of the necessary investigation to a great extend drastically.

In sampling method the obtained errors can be minimized by using probability theory as the quality of errors can be measured to an extent whereas, in complete enumeration there are no sampling error as such but in case of huge non sampling error that is evolved cannot be estimated not even by probability theory and can affect the entire investigation of the population .

In some practical situation complete enumeration method cannot be applied like in a perfume manufacturing company, the tester smells the entire range of newly prepared perfume and gives his or her feedback.
